About NebulaCMS

Project goals, documentation languages, and where to follow the roadmap.

NebulaCMS is an open-source content management system built on Laravel, with a React-based admin and Blade-driven public sites. It is designed for teams that want a single PHP stack, clear extension points (themes and plugins), and a documented JSON API—without mixing unrelated runtimes or deployment models.

What the project optimizes for

  • One coherent stack — Backend, admin, and theming stay in familiar Laravel and PHP tooling; operations follow common Laravel practices (env config, Artisan, queues, scheduler).
  • Extensibility — Hooks (actions and filters), theme templates, and plugins with a manifest-driven lifecycle.
  • Modern authoring — A focused admin for posts, pages, media, users, and settings, built with Inertia and modern frontend components.
  • Interoperability — A REST API for published content so you can integrate mobile apps, static sites, or automation.

The goal is not to replicate every feature of other CMS products; it is to offer a maintainable, developer-friendly foundation for content sites that fit the Laravel ecosystem.

Documentation languages

  • English — Fully maintained; it is the primary documentation language today.
  • Indonesian — Planned as the next locale; pages will be added incrementally.
  • Other languages — May follow over time as the project and community grow.

Contributions and translations are welcome as the localization structure matures.

History and direction

The project has evolved with its contributors and users. Roadmaps and release notes on the GitHub repository are the best place to follow what ships when and how to get involved.
